Airport parking can be booked on the day, but it is adviseable to pre-book in order to secure a parking space. Booking in advance is usually more economical with most car parks offering discounts for phone and online bookings.
Short stay parking is recommended for stays up to five hours and is available from most airports. These airport car parks are invariably adjacent to the main airport building to help with the speed and ease of parking. It is useful if you are seeing someone off on a flight or meeting someone from a flight. Prices range from 50 pence up to £3.00, for up to 30 minutes, depending on the airport car park chosen.
Business Parking is recommended for travellers parking for up to three or four days, or those wanting greater speed and convenience. Business car parks are usually located closer to the terminals than long stay and operate a more frequent courtesy coach transfer. Suitable for leisure or business parking. Available from most airports the prices range from £10 - £25 (per day) depending on thr airport car park.
Long stay car parks are located at most of the national airports and offer secure parking facilities, nearly always fenced off and monitored 24 hours a day. All car parking will be conveniently connected to the airport's terminals via transfer services that run every 5-15 minutes (depending on which airport car park you choose).
Valet Parking is available at most UK airports if you do not wish to have to transfer from the car park to the terminal. An aiport valet parking service involves a chauffeur meeting you at a pre-arranged time at your departure terminal and parking the car for you in a secure compound. Upon your return, the car will be delivered to you at the terminal. This saves on a lot of time and trouble.
The price often varies if you book in advance as opposed to booking on the day. Please note that pre-booking is advised if you wish to ensure availability and perhaps receive a discount.
